Prince Achmed rides a magical flying horse, falls in love with Princess Pari Banu, and teams up with a powerful witch and Aladdin to defeat an evil sorcerer.
Adapting stories from One Thousand and One Nights, this 1926 German silent fantasy film is the oldest surviving feature-length animated film. Lotte Reiniger established many of what are now the standard practices of silhouette animation and her influence is evident as far away as Japan.
